Dear Family,
The Christmas holiday was just wonderful! Andrew, Willow, Alex & Ashley came with the rest of us and we had a great time. Andrew was the one who propelled us to get out Sunday evening caroling around the ward boundaries (think UTAH) delivering treats. One hour turned into two. It was one of the last ‘warm’ nights that we’ve had here and it was great to get out and moving. We went together to see the ‘Savior of the World’ production at the Conference center, Saturday on Andrew’s birthday (31!).
Ashley was and is still recovering. Some days are better than others. She has been in a lot of pain and can’t eat a whole lot. Food will either make her stomach hurt or the smallest amount will make her feel nauseous like she has eaten too much. It has been a slower process than they have planned on.
Right now we are switching gears to completing and getting on top of wedding plans. Abby and Travis are doing a great job getting ready for the Temple. Abby will be getting her endowments in the new Brigham City Temple. They ‘think’ they have found their dream apartment on Washington Blvd. in Ogden. Abby says it is “cheap, big, super clean and the landlady goes to her Stake meetings. You would LOVE IT mom…I know you would LOVE IT!” All I can think of is where it located. BUT…I know….that is not my call. Abby has earned her Assoc. through BYU-Idaho and is starting Dental Assistant school (10 wks) next week as a better way to earn money to help their family.
Winter break was especially long for BYU but a welcomed treat for us to have April around longer. Marie had someone to talk to during the day and I had someone to drag around shopping with me (NOT her favorite activity). She is upbeat, willing to help, and has a terrific laugh which makes her a top pick to hang around with.
We are still waiting for a call from Amy and Joseph on the arrival of their baby girl. She, like Olesia was able to take shots during the pregnancy to keep from delivering too early. Amy is not enjoying going into the ‘full term’ weeks! At this point both Curt and I plan on going down to Arizona and ‘helping’ out. If Curt can find a quiet place to hook up with work during the days then he’ll come.
Willow (Andrew) looks adorable as she moves into her 8th month. Their baby is due February 26. They have a great house/apartment set up in Orem. Willow works at the Orem public library. Willow is one of those people who absorbs books and really enjoys it there. It is the perfect job for her. She has been told that if she wants to keep her job after the baby is born she just has to work 3hrs. a week. What a deal!
Marie will probably write for herself…but just in case….Marie is taking a semester of full time on-line classes. It is kind of stressing her out right now. But it is a good opportunity to take advantage of before they move out on their own in April. Matt has returned to working during the day and taking classes at night from LDS Business. It makes super long days for him.
Keep those letters coming cousins! There are many of you that I don’t even know where you are….SO SO SO excited to hear Reid’s marriage announcement!
Love, Uncle Curt & Aunt Susan
